Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Rochester is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

What a great find! Rubino’s Italian Foods is an awesome family-owned Italian market, but the sandwich shop inside is really what makes this place stand out. The sandwiches were absolutely phenomenal—fresh, loaded up, and exactly what you would hope to get from a great Italian deli. You can definitely tell this is a family-owned place that takes pride in what they do. Great selection throughout the store, friendly people, and just a really cool local atmosphere. If you’re anywhere around the Rochester area, this is absolutely worth stopping in. We will definitely be back!

Rubinos is my favorite Italian Deli in Rochester, BY FAR! The blue cheese stuffed olives are my favorite and you can’t miss on any of their sub selections! They have the freshest ground beef in ROC and I always eat every last bit. I find myself continuously going here over Wegmans any time I need to shop. 10/10 would recommend, everything is good there!

Just moved to the area and heard great things about Rubino's, which is very nearby. Made a point to visit them in our first week here and purchased two house versions of their large subs, a pound of fresh baked cookies, some canolli and cream puffs, mixed olive salad and 2 kinds of fresh house made sausage...everything was delightful and we feasted for a few days unpacking our belongs. As we had really enjoyed thier special smoke turkey sub on our first visit, my son went again today and got 2 of the large smoked turkey subs, some chips and 2 drinks. We were really looking forward to our lunch and likely dinner given the size of the subs. Boy were we disappointed! The subs were very dry, with only a small smear of mayonnaise and very few banana peppers ...nothing like the spicy well dressed and tasty sub we had before. After a few dry bites, I called them to express my disappointment and was told that they had some new trainees making subs today. They apologized and offered if I wanted to return my sub and they would be happy to remake it. My son had eaten half of his sub and I had taken a few bites of mine, so he indulged me and drove back the two untouched halves of the lar

I went there for a rainbow latte and they ran out of the syrup for it. If you’re going to advertise something a lot make sure you have more than enough supplies. I got a tiramisu latte instead and another employee told the employee that was making my drink that she was doing it wrong. It’s true the girl making my drink didn’t know what she was doing. If you’re going to charge $10 for a latte make sure your workers know how to make the drink or else it won’t be worth it. This was a cool little market. But everything is expensive. But I have to say the overpriced Sicilian slice of pizza was delicious. The sauce was so good.

I don’t even know where to start with how bad this experience was at Rubino’s. We ordered two subs, and somehow they managed to get everything wrong. The bread? Dry, stiff, and borderline inedible—more like chewing on cardboard than anything remotely fresh. There was zero mayonnaise, despite it being part of what we ordered, and overall the subs were nothing close to what was advertised. Just bland, poorly put together, and honestly kind of shocking for a place that’s supposed to know deli food. As an Italian, this sandwich was ridiculous. You expect at least a basic respect for quality and ingredients—but this felt like the complete opposite.

Try the fennel sausage. The king kumo turkey sub rules. Good bread selection. Salads and olives are super. You can take out or sit inside or outside as well. The subs of fame are superb. Half dozen catering vans. Good selections of olive oils and pasta sauces. There are many Italian brands such as Pantene available. Try the canned tuna. There is a Italian store aroma that is sweet, oily, garlicy, and cheesey. That's amore.
